Our mission is to promote civil engineering as a profession that enhances the quality of life through public service and free enterprise. We shall endeavor to inspire its members through student interactions with faculty and professionals as well as projects that will promote thinking.

With more than 35, members, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics is the world's largest professional society, principal voice, and information resource devoted to the progress of engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense. The purpose of our student branch is to support the success of San Jose State University's aerospace engineering students. AIAA will provide its members with access to events, workshops, club room resources, research projects, socials, and other related activities that will connect students with professionals and help prepare them for a career in the aerospace industry.

The ASCE Student Chapter is an active on campus student organization that provides opportunities to gain experience in civil engineering. This club is an outlet to pursue job opportunities, to begin creating a professional network, and to participate in an annual civil engineering competition. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers was founded in ASME is a ,member professional organization focused on technical, educational and research issues of the engineering and technology community.

Students also benefit from strong organization support in their pursuit of developing their professional and leadership skills. BMES also organizes study groups, and poster sessions that aim to help each student to be academically successful. The mission of BMES is to improve BMES members professional, and academic skills as well as create a friendly environment that promotes everlasting friendships.

IEEE's core purpose is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. As a student branch we provide equipment to borrow, a large study room, technical events, and more.

IEEE EPS is an IEEE affiliated student organization specialized in running semester long electronic based projects for any student in a major involving hardware, software, and electronics, that wants to gain practical and technical skills.

IIE is a "professional society dedicated solely to the support of the industrial engineering profession and individuals involved with improving quality and productivity. We aim to facilitate communication within the ISE department, expose industrial engineering to local students, and connect members to industry. By joining Material Advantage, the student has access to the networking, professional resources, and scholarships of all 4 national organizations. On campus, the Material Advantage club hosts social events and professional development activities. The students are active in the local ASM professional section which hosts monthly dinner meetings, which provide great opportunities to learn more about materials engineering in local industry and network with working engineers.

The Society of Plastic Engineers is a joint materials engineering special interest student organization with its sister club Materials Advantage. Both clubs provide members with opportunities for involvement with professional industry development such as industry tours and connections with those working within the industry itself. The overarching goal of this student chapter is to provide materials engineering students the ability of collaborating with and learning from those already working in the industry in order to better prepare themselves for their own professional careers.

The Software and Computer Engineering Society is a place for students interested in the fields of computer engineering and software engineering to congregate and collaborate. Operated by student volunteers, our student organization strives to offer a good environment for our future engineers to prosper.
