We are blessed to have known and worked with Kevin. He was very supportive and genuinely wanted the best for our kids. He brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. He loved school! Kevin also had the best sense of humor and was always up for a good joke and a laugh! He loved teasing Charlie! We send our sincere condolences to his wife and daughters whom he spoke of often with love and pride. Thank you for sharing him with us in Alaska. This man came to Galena not expecting much other than a great adventure.

He came to our small community and wanted to make a difference… and he did. He embraced our Athabascan people with open arms. He was a pretty straight shooter, and I appreciated his guidance and commitment to the betterment of our schools. I had met Principal Schott twice this year under less than ideal circumstances. In short, he could have imposed a harsh punishment on my child, but he chose not to.

You truly never know when will be the last time you see and speak to another. Rest in eternal peace good sir. You truly never know when will be the last time you see and speak to another. Rest in eternal peace good sir. Kevin was my uncle. When I was out in Colorado, we would go hunting throughout the state. He was in attendance for many on my achievements such as my Eagle Scout ceremony and saw me walk across the stage as I graduated high school.

Kevin was passionate about education and the outdoors, he was one of the many factors that made me go into education. Love you Uncle Kevin and I hope that you are enjoying the heavenly outdoors a bit more! Kevin worked hard for both staff and students, he will be greatly missed. He cared about educating our students and was welcomed in our community. RIP Kevin, it was a pleasure getting to know your amazing personality, your unending spirit of sarcastic happiness was a daily inspiration.

I worked with Kevin in Colorado for three years then kept in touch after he left. I really enjoyed visiting with him and the sunglass emoji he would always send.

I just heard about this last week and was shocked and saddened. Kevin truly wanted students to be successful and was a good man. When he was in Colorado away from home, he would drop Bear off at the house so he could hang with Carly and Cassidy.

You always learn something from the people you meet in life.
