Among the most beautiful and boopable of all dogs, the Borzoi is cherished for a calm, agreeable temperament. Getting kids ready for owning a dog? They can learn all about responsible dog ownership as they meet dogs of different breeds. Want a running buddy? The dignified Dalmatian is famed for a spotted coat, but these "coach dogs" have run alongside nobles, travelers, and firefighters.

Ready to be amazed? Seeking a Schnauzer? The bold, bewhiskered Standard Schnauzer is the high-spirited medium-sized member of the family. On Thursday, there will be Breed Specialities. You will need to check the starting times for any particular breed that you are interested in watching. Breed judging will begin at am and continue until sometime after lunch. You will need to check the Judging Program or when a particular breed will be judged. For example, the breed you most want to see may be judged at on Friday, pm on Saturday, and on Sunday.

Be sure to check the judging program for the correct day. Each afternoon, the Group Judging will begin where all of the Best of Breed or Variety winners will compete to go on to the Best in Show competition at the very end of the show. The starting time of Group Judging for each day will also be in the Judging Program.

This is the competition that you typically see on most of the television broadcasts. So, come and enjoy your day at the Lone Star State Classic dog shows. Be comfortable, especially shoe wear. People showing their dogs will be dressed appropriately to compete in the show rings.

The competitions are only for dogs that have been pre-entered. Then we have great news! There will also be numerous, fun demonstrations both days.
