Excelent website! I stumbled across it and ended up reading about this CVA. I shoot an older knight KRB7 and like most everything about it sans the breechplug removal. Im curious to know if youve used blackhorn ? Ive been using like yourself and several others and am open to a new powder.
I am changing bullets too as my old standby has been a powerbelt grain hollow point copper plated. Im thinking of the new federal BOR as I hunt elk as well.
If you try it with success in conjunction with a musket cap, let me know and I might make the switch…. I see you have both the CVA Wolf and Optima and after having a years worth of hunts and use on each one which one has made it to your top choice?
You mentioned that the trigger is not that great on the Optima, how does it compare to the Wolf trigger? Best regards and straight shooting. I think the trigger is about the same on both the Optima and Wolf. Great website and write up on the CVA muzzle loaders!
I had a few questions I thought you may have some insight on. Subscribe Apple Google iHeart Spotify. Facebook Twitter Pinterest Email.
